Monday Madness

This week is already a hectic one! I have so many essays and readings to do I just don't know where to start!! AHhhh life of an English major...At lunch today, I had some time stall so I brought my Lucky Magazine with me...I know I should have been getting some work done, but I just wanted some time to relax, and enjoy myself! After reading this magazine, I saw one page that really stood out for me! It was the idea of creating an outfit involving pastel colors...About 10 different colors! I loved the article and will go into more depth later, but I have to go to my next class!!! 

Suddenly Sunday

This week went by so fast! How is it Sunday already!? I had an overall great weekend! I went out both nights with my friends, got a ticket to a concert that was completely sold out, and bought the new, March edition of Lucky Magazine!...I am going to my friends room later to do work...Well she is doing work and I am brining over my new Lucky Mag hhaha

I applied for some jobs today as well for the summer...I first applied to some day camps, but I also sent something over to Urban Outfitters. How cool would it be to work there this summer!? I absolutely love their style and the cool vibe of the store! I really hope I get the job because it would be soo much better than chasing around 4 year old girls! 

I don't really have an exciting outfit post today due to it being Sunday, but I will post some pictures of me and my friends from this weekend..I got so many compliments on my outfits so hopefully you all think the same!!

Loving the Long

Happy Saturday! I was thinking about posting my outfit today but I decided to change the direction of my post...I have been addicted to online shopping lately and keep finding more and more trends that I must try! A new trend that I love is long skirts! My style is a combination of so many trends! Some days I like the edgy look while other days I like the feminine or bohemian look. I think it's fun to have a different twist to your outfits every day, and you don't need to necessarily follow only one "look"...Okay enough babbling! The point to this is that Free People came out with the most adorable long skirts for the Spring! I actually purchased a long Free People skirt last year, but these skirts are so much more interesting and different!

It's Raining, It's Pouring and I wish I was Snoring!

Happy Friday everyone!!! So it is absolutely pouring outside!!! It's raining so hard that my class got let out early since the water was flooding into our room! This miserable weather made me not want to go to class, but I decided that going to class was the mature thing to do!! I made my way through the swampy streets and finally got to my class! I wore my black, American Apparel high waisted leggings, Urban Renewal hearts sweater from Urban Outfitters, and my obnoxious- bright yellow Hunter Rain-boots!! I missed these rain-boots terribly so it was almost nice to have to wear them again!...Due to the rain, I think I am going to stay inside most of the day and get some work done..Maybe take a break here and there and do some online spring shopping??

Happy almost weekend!...Today is Thursday and I am stressed once again...I have so much work to catch up on along with many other things to worry about...Today was supposed to be extremely nice out but it ended up feeling kind of "wintery". You know that feeling when it's right about to snow? Well thats how it feels...I went for the "warmer" look and wore my black Forever 21 leggings, grey tank from Target, grey cardigan from Marshall's (on sale for $10)!...I also wore my Sperry's again although my feet were a tad bit cold!...Anyways, I have so much to do so I am going to keep this post short! French Affair

Good Morning! It is another gorgeous, sunny, spring-feeling day!! I am so in love with this weather and everything it brings...New nail polish colors, new spring clothes, no more jackets, and brighter, more playful accessories! Spring is officially almost here and I need to get prepared! I have been doing a lot of online shopping browsing and I can't wait to start my new "spring look."

As for Clothing, I am loving the new Spring Looks at Anthropology! Their "Signs Of Spring" section is amazing! It has a sort of "Tribal" feeling along with bright, colorful prints! What do you think of this new Spring Collection? I personally want it NOW!

Baby it's WARM outside!

Hi everyone! I am just loving this weather lately! The sun, the temperature, and the fresh air is such a great feeling compared to the snow, and below zero temperatures that I experienced not too long ago!! Today I had my first test of the semester...I studied a lot for this test so hopefully it paid off!

In other news, I usually do not wear my new purchases right away...Im a saver, and basically wait to wear new clothes until the season is basically over...(need to change this crazy way of thinking!)...Anyways, today I did not save my new purchases from this week! Instead, I wore everything new plus my old sperry topsiders that have been sitting in my closet since the fall because it is usually too cold for them! However, today I wore my new J.Brand jeggings (on sale for only $10!!!!)..I paired these awesome pants with a brown turtleneck sweater from Bass, my sperry's, and my new printed Michael Kors bag that I got at Marshall's on sale for only $69!!!...Lets just say, this weekend was filled with amazing deals!!

I don't have a lot to do today so I think I am going to relax and catch up on my favorite show Pretty Little Liars!!!

Lazy Monday

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I know I did!!...I went to visit my sister in Rhode Island and we had such an amazing time...This weekend was different than what I expected, but in a good way! We usually have our little fights, or "attitudes" with each other, but we actually didn't. I really think that because we are both getting older, we are becoming so much closer which is so amazing!... She even made me a bracelet that looks awesome! She is so creative and talented..I know she will be very successful in the future!

Anyways, today is Monday and we don't have classes. Thank goodness because I have so much to do!! Besides just cleaning and doing laundry, I am in desperate need of water and other things from the convenience store...Oh..and homework!!!! haha How could I forget about that!?

Weekend Getaway

Two posts in one day!..So yesterday, my sister and I went to Whole Foods for lunch where we made these delicious salads..There was such a trendy vibe there that I felt as if I was famous (weird?) haha...We then took a trip to Target, cooked our delicious veggie burgers and sweet potatoes, and went out for the night. It was the first time my sister and I went out together at night and it was so much fun! Lets just say, I'm finally not "Ms. Awkward."...Today we went to Marshall's and I spent all the money my grandpa gave me..OH Well! ...I bought such great things for amazing prices that one can not resist!!!

First off, I got 2 pairs of J.Brand pants, (one jegging with zippers and one black) for only $10 each!!! Like hello!? How can you not??...I also got a Michael Kors, zebra printed tote for only $69!!!...Along with these purchases I got two grey pullover sweaters also for only $10 dollars. Overall, this trip to Marshall's was amazing. I would describe it as a "Bloomingdales" kind of Marshall's. Rhode Island definitely impressed me today!!....Hope everyone is having a great, long weekend!

Yesterday was another day on the bus...Except this time, it was only 2 hours instead of 9 thank goodness!!! This was an outfit that should have been posted yesterday, however, I never turned my computer on siggghh....I had a great weekend with my sister so far and can't wait to see what else we do!

Can it be!?

Is this true! Can it really be 50 degrees in Massachusetts right now!? Well it is! Besides for me having the longest day ever (9-4pm) I also have to get my act together for my trip to Rhode Island tomorrow. Thank goodness for the warm weather! I literally wore spring clothing! (well almost)...I even got to ditch my leather jacket and go for my new Calvin Klein suede jacket that my mom bought my while home last week... I wore this jacket with my black wide leg, Seven jeans, brown cropped sweater from Marshall's, multi-ocolored circle scarf also from Marshalls, and my brown leather Sperry boots. 

I am so overly exhausted so I will post something better tomorrow. Hope the bus isn't as brutal as the bus going home last weekend! Wish me luck!!!

Laid Back Wednesday

Hello everyone! Today is Wednesday and it is absolutely gorgeous out yet again! I am in such a Spring mood right now and I am loving it! Besides for the week almost being over, I am also beyond excited to see my sister in Rhode Island this weekend! It's going to be the first time visiting her (even though she is a senior) haha...We already planned out our adventures for the week..Some shopping, blogging (obviously), relaxing, and delicious veggie burgers and sweat potatoes of course!!! I have not seen my sister since Winter break and it's going to be great being back with her, just the 2 of us!

So for today's outfit, I was not sure what to wear. I knew I wanted to wear leggings, and my comfy, but I hate the "I just rolled out of bed" look. While trying to decide what to wear, an imagine of my style icon, Whitney Port, popped into my head. I remember her wearing uggs, leggings, and an American Apparel off the shoulder shirt. I decided if she can go for it, I can too!...So, for the outfit I wore grey leggings from Marshall's, white long tank from Target, off the shoulder stripped sweatshirt from Faces (store in Northhampton, MA= AMAZING), and my tall chestnut Uggs...This outfit is not a typical one for me but I loved it anyway. You need some days to ditch the jeans and grab the leggings..

Back to the Norm

So yesterday was Valentine's day but today is a regular, wonderful day. Even though I do not have a boyfriend, or am "in love" with someone, I instead made it a day to love myself, and remember the things that make me happy such as fashion, my health, and my family and friends. After my fashion class last night, I had a relaxing, fun dinner with my friend who also was in no mood to celebrate this holiday. We ended up having a lot of fun and great Valentine's day

For today's outfit, I finally wore my sweater than I have been dying to wear! It has been sitting in my closet for months already, trying to find the right day to wear it on. Today I felt was the right day!...I wore my new winter boots from Bass, skinny jeans from Delias, grey t-shirt from Century 21, and my stripped sweater from Marshall's. 

Although my last class was canceled, I have a lot to do today! Besides just my work that I need to catch up on, I also have review sessions, meetings, and other errands to run! ahhhh where do I start!??!

Back at school on Valentines Day

Sorry for another missed blog post but I was back on that horrible bus! I came back to school yesterday and although it was not as long of a trip as my other bus coming home, it was still extremely long and exhausting! Anyways, today is Valentines Day and I am just not feeling it. I don't exactly understand this holiday. If you love someone, shouldn't you do nice things for them everyday of the year? Maybe it's just me but I think this holiday is more about making the single people feel worse about themselves!...Anyways, I am not letting being single make me into a depressed, lifeless person. Instead, I am going to my favorite class later tonight (my fashion media class) and then going into town for a fun dinner with my friend who is also single. I think it's important to have fun on this holiday even if you don't have a boyfriend. Why shouldn't we get dressed up and have a fun dinner out just like every other couple!?

Today I decided not to wear my heart printed sweater because lets face it; Im really not Mrs. Valentine. Instead, I wore my grey Urban jeggings like always, with a green and white stripped shirt from J.Crew. It's beyond warm out today that I hardly even needed my leather jacket!...

Overall today is a great day and I just have to remember that I don't need to necessarily be "in love" with someone to be happy. Instead, I decided I am just going to love myself, and remember all the things that make me so happy!

Fun with mom

This morning was such a special morning. I went to breakfast with my mom and went to temple again. Ever since my grandpa passed away, my mom has been going to temple every Saturday morning. She really loves going and it means so much to her. I decided to go with her again this morning and it really was so special. I guess I matured or something because I actually enjoyed myself. I used to dread going to temple and sitting there for 2 hours. However, this morning was actually fun, and I loved being there to support my mom. 

After temple, I got my nails done which was great! I got a pinkish/orangeish Essie color. Im so ready for the spring so hopefully the springy color of my nails brings on some warm weather!

I also went to some stores with my mom and finally bought a dress to wear to one of my parties in 2 weeks. It's Free People and I got it for only $14!!!...It was overall a great day!

As for my outfit, it's not the best since I did not bring any clothes home! I decided to wear Free People skinny jeans, black oxfords, black Gap sweater, and a Bass grey/black scarf. At least I was cozzy!!

Home Sweet Home

Sorry for missing a blog post yesterday but it took me forever to get home yesterday! It usually takes only 3 hours to get home from school, but yesterday it took a total of 7 hours to just get into the city!!! The bus was lost, late, and very frustrating! Don't you hate when you have been sitting in a car/bus/plane for so long and all you want to do is jump off!? Well that's exactly how I felt yesterday!.. After a 9 PM dinner, I came home, hung out with my parents for the night, and went to sleep. It was overall a very exhausting day which is why I was unable to post. 

Today is a new day and it is gorgeous out at home in New York!. I started off my day with a delicious bowl of oatmeal with raisins and went to get a haircut. I wanted to get it more layered and choppy. Can you guys see a difference???

For my outfit today I was in an insane rush so it's not my best! (warning in advance)...I am wearing my black wide leg seven jeans, white t-shirt from Forever 21, cream J.Crew sweater, and a red American Apparel Scarf. It was so warm that I didn't even need a jacket!! How great is that?...Anyways I am going out with my mom for the day and am so excited. I just love being home sometimes to get refreshed, and stress-free

.

Honeysuckle

What is this word, "Honeysuckle" may you ask? Well, it is the new spring color. This color is a combination of pinks and oranges. This color is uplifting and strong. It instills a new confidence and persona. This color is predicted to be everywhere from women's clothes to cosmetics, accessories, and even menswear. Honeysuckle is also said to be a color used for home decor and electronic accessories. This color is going to be seen everywhere for the Spring days that lie ahead.

Chilly and Chic

I just received great news! I got an e-mail the other day about an internship to write for an online website. This website has different sections dedicated to health, sports, news, and most importantly, FASHION. I sent an e-mail back with an attachment to my blog and received wonderful feedback. I really hope to write for this website and publicize my work more. I am so passionate about my blog, and would love to share it with readers. 
For my outfit today, I wanted to be comfortable and layered. I decided to go for black Forever 21 leggings, tan v-neck, (100% organic cotton) from Marshall's, multi-colored circle scarf also from Marshall's, and a brown, knitted sweater from the Gap. I was also fortunate enough to wear my leather jacket once again instead of my puffy winter jacket. Although it was a little chilly, I loved the edgy look the jacket gave to my outfit. Pain Fashion is beauty, isn't it? 

Do you tend to go for warmth or for fashion???? Should I call it quits for the leather jacket for the remainder of the season?

New Week, New things to come

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the Superbowl yesterday! I woke up this morning, after a terrible sleep, feeling great surprisingly. Even though I was basically up all hours of the night, I felt pretty good. I had delicious oatmeal with some fruit and coffee for breakfast with my friends, went to class, ran some errands, and had a wonderful peanut butter sandwich for lunch! I'm also very excited for tonight! Not only do I have my fashion class to look forward too, but I am also going to Friendly's with some of my sisters and new members! I can't wait to meet the new girls and start the beginning of new amazing friendships!

For my outfit today, I got to wear my leather jacket once again. I love when it's warm enough to take a break from the heavy, winter coat. With my jacket I wore my grey Urban jeggings once again paired with a white T-shirt from the Justin Timberlake brand for Target, and a mustard colored circle scarf from J.Crew. While getting dressed this morning, I could not decide if these pants looked better or a dark skinny jean..I ended up wearing the grey jeggings but was extremely indecisive this morning which made me a little late for breakfast haha...What do you think of my outfit? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Dress To Impress

I still feel completely under the weather but have no idea why! Don't you hate when you know that your body is a little off? Well I do! I just don't feel like myself and am so out of it! I figured that some fresh air, along with a cute outfit may do the trick. I went to a meeting at my sorority house and then went into town to CVS with my roommate to get some things. I decided to get dressed in hopes of feeling better. Unfortunately, it did not work. However, I got many compliments on my outfit which made me feel a little better I guess haha..I also got the new Glamour magazine so hopefully a little more fashion will do the trick!

For my outfit today I wore Delia's skinny jeans, knitted sweater from Marshall's, black leather booties from Zara, and a black and silver chain necklace from Bloomingdales. It was so warm out that I actually got to wear it with my black Calvin Klein leather jacket!. It's been shockingly warm the past couple of days but I hear we have another 30 inches of snow coming our way! eeekk!!...Hope everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying the Superbowl!
